Bayern defender Boateng banned three matches

Xinhua, February 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng was banned on Thursday for three matches following his red card in Tuesday's Schalke game.

Boateng committed a professional foul against Sidney Sam in the 17th minute of the 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga match.

The German Football Federation (DFB) said Boateng was suspended by its disciplinary tribunal for unsporting behaviour. He will miss Bayern's visits to VfB Stuttgart and Paderborn and a home match against SV Hamburg. Endi
