NATO Defense Ministers gathered here on Thursday to discuss the implementation of the Readiness Action Plan and the Ukraine crisis.

"This is a very critical time for security in Europe, and across the world," said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in his doorstep statement.

The NATO Readiness Action Plan was approved at Wales Summit providing for the establishment of command and control elements in the Baltic States, the upgrading of defense plans in line with the actual threats, and the creation of a very high readiness rapid response force.

NATO Defense Ministers would meet with Georgian Defense Minister Mindia Janeldidze to discuss the implementation of the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package during the meeting.

Stoltenberg will also attend the Security Conference in Munich on Friday and Saturday where he will deliver a keynote speech. Endi
