272 newly graduated officers commissioned to Afghan army

A total of 272 newly graduated officers commissioned to Afghan national army on Thursday, chief of army staff General Shir Mohammad karimi said. "These youth totaling 272 after completion of one-year military courses in the Marshal Fahim Military Academy received their certificates today, have been commissioned to army and from now on they are in duty," Karimi said in a ceremony here in the military academy.

Annually, 900 officers graduated from the military academy constructed with financial support of Britain in western edge of Kabul city.

The strength of Afghan national security forces presently is some 350,000 including 195,000 national army service members. Endi
