Agent: Ronaldo not to leave Real Madrid

Xinhua, February 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Cristiano Ronaldo's agent said Tuesday that the Portuguese superstar will end his career at Real Madrid.

"He is the best player ever in the world. You can't compare him with anybody else," agent Jorge Mendes said of Ronaldo in an interview with the BBC.

Mendes put a 300 million pounds (452 million US dollars, 298 million euros) price-tag on the world footballer of the year.

"If for any reason the club decide to sell him tomorrow for 300 million pounds, someone will pay," added Mendes.

The agent insisted that there was no danger of the 29-year-old Ronaldo leaving Real's Bernabeu Stadium.

"Cristiano Ronaldo? One billion. His buyout clause one billion, so it is one billion. It is impossible to find someone like him," said Mendes.

Ronaldo, who joined Real from Manchester United for a world record 80 million pounds in 2009, was voted the world's best player for the third time last month, beating Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

"He will not leave Real Madrid," Mendes insisted. Endi
