New Saudi ruler says no changes in kingdom's policies

New Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud asserted on Monday that he will proceed with old policies of his predecessors, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

In the first cabinet meeting he chaired after becoming the ruler of the conservative Kingdom, Salman said he will stick to the same approach which Saudi Arabia has followed since its establishment.

For his part, Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al Tarifi said in statements after the meeting that the policies of the oil-rich state at the Arab, Islamic and international levels will remain unchanged.

King Salman assumed the throne of the kingdom after the death of King Abdullah.

He announced recently major cabinet reshuffle that covered key posts such as head of the intelligence. Endit
