Singapore stocks close 0.95 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 32.15 points, or 0.95 percent, to close at 3,423.35.

A total of 1.31 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 29 billion Singapore dollars (956 million U.S. dollars).

However, decliners led gainers 261 to 182, with 495 others unchanged.

The STI index lost 27.85 points, or 0.81 percent, to close at 3, 391.2 on Friday. Endi
