Porto thrash Pacos Ferreira 5-0 in Portuguese soccer league

Porto slammed Pacos Ferreira 5-0 on Sunday night in the 19th round of the Portuguese soccer league at the Dragon Stadium in northern Portuguese city Porto.

Colombian forward Jackson Martinez opened the scoring in the 29th minute, following a cross by Brazilian defender Alex Sandro.

Ricardo Quaresma scored another in the 40th minute through a penalty shot and made it 3-0 five minutes later.

Mexican midfielder Herrera Lopez scored in the 47th minute following a pass by Martinez, and Spanish forward Cristian Tello closed the scoring in the 83rd minute with a free kick.

Porto stand second in the Portuguese Premier League with 43 points, 6 points behind leaders Benfica. Pacos Ferreira stand eighth with 26.

Also on Sunday, Academica drew 1-1 with Maritimo. Gil Vicente drew 1-1 with Setubal. Rio Ave beat Estoril 2-1 and Sporting beat Arouca 3-1. Endi
