Two U.S. nationals were shot at by unknown gunmen in the eastern al-Ahsa district on Friday, one of them injured, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The two U.S. citizens in a vehicle came under fire on Friday afternoon in the eastern district of al-Ahsa, a major district of Saudi Arabia's Shiite minority, SPA said. The gunmen's IDs are still unknown. (U.S.-Citizen-Attack)

ARISH, Egypt -- The death toll of Thursday's mortar attacks that targeted security premises in Egypt's North Sinai province rose to 33, a security source told Xinhua.

GENEVA -- The Pilot was killed in a small plane crash at noon time on Friday near the municipality Bernex in the canton of Geneva, said the cantonal police on Friday.
Jean-Philippe Brandt, spokesman for the Geneva cantonal police, told Xinhua that the pilot, a male Swiss, was the only one on board.
The plane crashed into an open field shortly after it took off from Geneva which intended to fly to Belgium, and caused no more injuries on the ground, said the police. (Belgium-Plane Crash)

MOSCOW -- The Russian government is preparing a new socioeconomic forecast under the current "extremely severe" circumstances characterized by continued slump in oil prices in international markets, a senior official said Friday.
