China's defense ministry hosts new year reception

China's National Defense Ministry hosted a Lunar New Year reception for more than 250 military attaches from over 80 foreign countries on Thursday.

In 2015, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) will endeavor to advance military modernization, expand friendship with military forces all over the world, work together to tackle security threats and make contributions to world peace and common development, said Guan Youfei, chief of the ministry's foreign affairs office, speaking on behalf of the Defense Minister Chang Wanquan.

Chang and some senior Chinese military officials attended the reception. Endi
