LME base metals decline mostly on Tuesday

The base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed lower mostly on Tuesday.

The base metal prices fell on Greece vote results raised concerns of instability in Europe.

Besides, workers at Chile's Sierra Gorda mine, controlled by KGHM Polska Miedz SA, voted last week to go on strike.

Those workers asked for higher salaries as well as improved education, health, housing and also on.

The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 144 U.S. dollars, or 2.57 percent, to 5,453.5 dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 3.5 dollars, or 0.19 percent, to 1,862 dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost 13 dollars, or 0.70 percent, to 1,849.5 dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 15 dollars, or 0.70 percent, to 2,124 dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 12.5 dollars, or 0.08 percent, to 14,725 dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price lost 150 dollars, or 0.77 percent, to 19,350 dollars a tonne. Enditem
