Xinhua, January 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tunisia and DR Congo both advanced to the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday after drawing 1-1 in their final Group B game in Bata.

Ahmed Akaichi put Tunisia 1-0 ahead in the 31st minute and DR Congo was trailing until the 66th minute when substitute Loteteka Bokila rescued the team.

Cape Verde and 2012 continental champions Zambia played out a 0-0 draw at the same time, which ensured that Tunisia reached the quarterfinal stage as the group winner, and DR Congo qualified on goals scored.

Tunisia will face Equatorial Guinea in the quarterfinal, while the meeting of DR Congo and Republic of Congo will decide who can seize one of the last four places. Endi
