Singapore stocks close 0.38 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 12.98 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 3,398.52.

A total of 1.41 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 48 billion Singapore dollars (1.12 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 262 to 204, while 475 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 41.21 points, or 1.22 percent, to close at 3,411.5 on Friday. Endi
