Tokyo stocks fall slightly

Tokyo stocks fell 0.25 percent on Monday.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 43.23 points, from Friday at 17,468.52.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 1.14 points, or 0.08 percent, to 1, 402.08.

Major decliners included real estate, shipping and mining issues.

The turnover was 1,796.7 billion yen (about 15.27 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
