Nissan, Honda recall cars over safety concern

Xinhua, January 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nissan Group of China has announced it would recall 48 cars on the Chinese mainland to fix a problem in front wheel hub.

The recall, starting from Jan. 27, involves 48 units of Infiniti QX60 manufactured between Aug. 12 and Oct. 9, 2014, according to a statement issued by China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

AQSIQ said the faulty bolt in front wheel hub may weaken braking force and cause accidents in extreme cases.

Meanwhile, another Japanese automobile giant Honda (China) started recalling 28 units of Acura RLX on the Chinese mainland from Jan. 23, which were manufactured between May 9, 2013 and July 23, 2014.

The administration said the recall was to fix the faulty front lights equipped with inferior coating that may cause dangers at nighttime. Endi
