Air India London-Mumbai flight lands in Budapest due to engine problem

An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner en route from London to Mumbai made an unscheduled landing at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport on Thursday evening, due to an engine problem, according to Hungarian News Agency MTI.

Flightradar24.com said the aircraft was in Serbian airspace when it turned back to Budapest. It landed safely with 227 passengers and 10 crew members on board and was met by the airport's emergency crews, MTI said.

Air India's aircraft en route from Paris and Frankfurt to India land at Liszt Ferenc International Airport on Thursday night and carry on the waiting passengers in Budapest, MTI said.

It noted that the aircraft with technical defects remains in Budapest. Endit
