Spanish team Real Madrid was the football club with the biggest revenues in the 2013-2014 season, according to a financial report published on Thursday by the consultancy firm Deloitte.

Real Madrid topped the ranking for the tenth year in a row with 549.5 million euros (about 627.27 million U.S. dollars) of revenue, 30.6 million more than last season.

The Spanish team was followed by Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona which earned 518 million, 487.5 million and 484.6 million euros respectively.

According to the football money league report by Deloitte, Real Madrid earned 204.2 million euros thanks to television broadcasting and the UEFA Champions League, 113.8 million from ticket sales and 231.6 million due to sports marketing.

The director of the Deloitte sports business group, Dan Jones, said the club's success on the pitch after winning the Champions League for the tenth time, "is matched in terms of their finances, reinforcing their position as the most successful European club of all time."

Meanwhile, Spain's Atletico de Madrid moved up from 20th to 15th after reaching the Champions League final. (1 euro = 1.14 U.S. dollars) Enditem
