Vietnam hopes to soon conclude TPP negotiations

Xinhua, January 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vietnam is working closely with other members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to soon conclude the negotiations as agreed by leaders of TPP countries, said Pham Thu Hang, vice spokesperson of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

Hang made the remarks at a regular press briefing held in capital Hanoi on Thursday while addressing reporter's question relating to TPP.

"To Vietnam, TPP is an important step to implement the integration policy for a stronger development of the country," said Hang.

"At present, the negotiations are taking place at hasted speed. Negotiators are striving to narrow gaps on the spirit of constructiveness, understanding and taking into account interest of others," said the official.

Vietnam expects the next TPP negotiation, which will be held in New York, the United States from Jan. 23 to Feb. 3 to yield important developments so that the negotiations can end soon, Hang told reporters. Endi
