U.S. assistant secretary of state to visit Vietnam for defense dialogue

The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Puneet Talwar will visit Vietnam and participate in the seventh U.S.-Vietnam Political, Security and Defense Dialogue on Jan. 22-23.

The information was released by Pham Thu Hang, vice spokesperson of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs at a regular press briefing held in capital on Thursday.

At the dialogue, the two sides will assess the implementation of the Vietnam-U.S. comprehensive partnership over past time and discuss practical measures on issues of mutual interests, said Hang. Endi
