Iceland's wage index decreases slightly in Dec.

Iceland's wage index reported a month-on-month decrease of 0.02 percent in December 2014, according to data published by Statistic Iceland on Thursday.

The statistics showed the wage index in December is 494.6, taking the wage in December 1988 as base number of 100, decreasing by 0.02 percent compared with 494.7 in November. It was the first time the monthly wage index reported a decrease since December 2013.

In the past 12 months, the monthly wage index has increased by 6.6 percent.

The real wage index in December 2014 was 120.1, decreasing by 0.3 percent compared with that in November.

In the past 12 months, the real wage index has increased by 5.8 percent. Endit
