Xinhua, January 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Danish wind-turbine manufacturer Vestas has received an order for delivery of 298 megawatts to a wind energy project in the United States, the company announced Thursday.

The order was placed by First Reserve, the largest global private equity and infrastructure investment firm, and entails delivery of 149 wind-turbines of the V100-2.0 MW type, Vestas said in a press statement.

The wind-turbines will be installed at the Kingfisher Wind project in Oklahoma. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2015, Vestas said.

The contract includes supply and commissioning as well as a 10-year service agreement.

Vestas is among the world's leading wind-turbine manufacturers, delivering wind energy in 73 countries worldwide. Endit
