Singapore stocks close 0.47 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 15.83 points, or 0.47 percent, to close at 3,370.29.

A total of 1.65 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 29 billion Singapore dollars (963 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 295 to 146, while 498 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 20.44 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 3,354.46 on Wednesday. Endi
