Indian stocks open at two-month high as ECB looms large

Indian stocks opened near a eight- week high Thursday as the European Central Bank (ECB) looms large, tracking positive trend seen in other Asian markets.

The benchmark BSE Sensex opened higher for the sixth consecutive session, led by gains in metals, pharmaceuticals and capital goods sectors. Global markets are in an upward move on expectations of quantitative easing from the ECB.
