Dollar changes hands at upper 117 yen level in early Tokyo deals

The U.S dollar changed hands in the upper 117 yen zone early Thursday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 117.83-85 yen compared with 117.90-118.00 yen in New York and 117.65-67 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The euro fetched 1.1615-1616 dollars and 136.86-88 yen against 1.1605-1615 dollars and 136.88-98 yen in New York and 1.1556-1558 dollars and 135.96-136.00 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Endi
