Kazakhstan eyes at least 115 qualifications for Rio Olympics

Xinhua, January 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Kazakh athletes must win at least 115 qualifications for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, said the Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly on Wednesday.

Mukhamediuly said that 2015 is an Olympic qualifying year for athletes from Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan's athletes have won 115 qualifications in 25 sports for the 2012 London Olympics.

To ensure the highest quality of training for Kazakh national teams, the government has been asked to provide additional funding for the preparation of athletes. Endi
