Cote d'Ivoire holds Guinea 1-1 at African Cup

Seydou Doumbia scored a second-half equalizer for Cote d'Ivoire, helping the Cup favorites to a 1-1 draw with Guinea at their African Cup opener on Tuesday.

Mohamed Yattara had given Guinea a surprising lead in the 36th minute, and Cote d'Ivoire's Gervinho was sent off with a straight red card in the 57th.

Cote d'Ivoire made it 1-1 in the 72nd minute when Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony combined to feed 66th-minute substitute Doumbia.

Cote d'Ivoire will get another chance to show what it can do on Saturday against Mali. Endi
