Xinhua, January 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen left here on Tuesday for the 45th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland.

The premier is accompanied by Commerce Minister Sun Chanthol, Finance Minister Aun Porn Moniroth, Sok Chenda Sophea, Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and other members of the government, Sry Thamarong, minister attached to Prime Minister Hun Sen, told reporters at Phnom Penh International Airport.

The forum, scheduled for Jan. 21-24 in Davos, will explore solutions to major world challenges under the theme "The New Global Context," he said.

"I think that the WEF is a good opportunity for heads of states and governments, investors, researchers, and civil society representatives to exchange views and to find solutions to facing challenges," he said. "It is also a chance for countries to increase their economic cooperation and to further build mutual confidence and trust."

According to the WEF, over 40 heads of states and governments are expected to attend the four-day meeting with 280 sessions and workshops.

Some 2,500 participants from more than 140 countries representing businesses, governments, international organizations, academia, civil society and the media are expected to attend the annual forum. Endi
