The world major countries and Iran on Sunday resumed talks over Tehran's long-standing controversial nuclear program, the second round after the failure to meet a Nov. 24 deadline in 2014 for a comprehensive nuclear deal.
The meeting, held by Iran and the P5+1 group, including China, France, Russia, Britain, the United States, and Germany, began this morning, a diplomatic source said, without giving further details. (Iran-Nuclear Talks)

KIEV -- Three soldiers were killed and 31 others wounded in the past 24 hours as a bitter battle between government forces and independence-seeking insurgents raged for control over Donetsk airport in eastern Ukraine, the military said Sunday.

HARARE -- At least 25 people were killed Sunday in a crash between two public buses on a major highway near Zimbabwean capital Harare, state media and sources reported.

ABUJA -- A suicide bomber on Sunday struck at a motor park in Potiskum city of Nigeria's northeastern state of Yobe, killing at least seven people and injured 45 others, witnesses said.
The suicide bomber drove a Vectra Opel saloon car into the motor park, pretending to be a transport operator, said Suleiman Ahmed, a witness. (Nigeria-Attack)

BAGHDAD -- A total of 43 Islamic State (IS) militants were killed on Sunday in clearance operations against their positions near the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, the Defense Ministry said.
An army force swept the desert areas of Halabsa, Nibaie, al-Liyn, Albu Obied and Albu Khalifa in northwest of Baghdad and clashed with the IS militants, leaving 19 IS militants killed after they seized five of their redoubts, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website. (Iraq-IS) Endi
