Oman win 1-0 over Kuwait in Asian Cup

Abdulaziz Maqbali scored the lone goal to award Oman a 1-0 victory over Kuwait in the last round Group A match of the AFC Asian Cup here on Saturday.

Both Kuwait and Oman lost their first two group games, making their encounter a dead rubber only for honor. Kuwait have netted just two goals in their last seven Asian Cup matches, while Oman have won one of their eight Asian Cup matches.
