Austrian police arrested 12 suspects during a raid to a drug ring, a source from the police headquarters in Austria announced on Friday.

The suspects have allegedly sold 2.5 kg of heroin and 4 kg of marijuana in Vienna and surrounding areas since October 2014, with an estimated street value of almost 140,000 U.S. dollars.

Police searched six houses in Vienna and Lower Austria in December and found heroin, marijuana, marijuana plantations, cash, cocaine and psychedelic mushrooms during the raid.

Police arrested the suspects between Dec. 23 to 28. They include two Serbs who transported the drugs from Belgrade to Vienna, who aged 24 and 30 years, respectively, and two men both of whom aged 23, and eight drug dealers.

All suspects are being held in the Josefstadt prison in Vienna. According to the police, 40 buyers of the drugs were also reported. Endit
