Spanish banks' bad debts as a percentage of total loans fell to 12.75 percent in November, according to provisional data published on Friday by the Bank of Spain.
Bad loans stood at 176.718 billion euros (203.486 billion U.S. dollars), falling by 1.668 billion euros from October, while overall lending rose by 5.551 billion euros to a total of 1.286 trillion euros.
Spanish banks' bad loan ratio has been falling for three consecutive months. It fell in May and June in 2014 to rise again in July and August.
It had also fallen in December 2012 and February 2013 as a result of transfers of toxic assets made by some Spanish banks to the Spanish "bad bank", SAREB. (1 euro = 1.15 U.S. dollars) Endit
