French stock market index up 1.31 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.31 percent to close at 4,379.62 points on Friday, up 56.42 points.

The CAC 40 closed higher with 29 of its 40 selected companies gaining advance.

Today's top three gainers were Unibail-Rodamco, up 4.62 percent, Carrefour, up 3.93 percent, and Total, up 3.22 percent.

The three companies which lost most today were Alcatel-Lucent, down 2.08 percent, Alstom, down 1.19 percent, and Vinci, down 0.84 percent.

In previous trading day, Jan. 15, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 2.37 percent to close at 4,323.20 points, up 99.96 points. Enditem
