More than two-third lawmakers on Friday submitted signatures to Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subhas Nembang exerting pressure on him to promulgate the new constitution through voting.

Youth lawmakers of ruling parties -- Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN (ML) including various fringe parties submitted 413 signatures of lawmakers, which is more than two-third of the seats of Nepal's 601-member legislative body -- the Constituent Assembly. (Nepal-Constitution-Lawmakers)

MAZAR-E-SHARIF, Afghanistan -- Three militants had been killed and six others sustained injuries as Afghan security forces stormed a Taliban hideout in Chamtal district, Balkh province with Mazar-e-Sharif as its capital 305 km north of Kabul on Thursday, an army officer General Abdul Latif said Friday.

"During a joint operation involving units of Afghan national army, police and national directorate for security against Taliban main base in Chamtal district which launched Thursday morning and lasted till late evening Thursday, three militants had been killed and six others injured," Latif told reporters here.(Afghanistan- Militants-Attack)

HERAT, Afghanistan -- Three police sustained injuries as a roadside bomb struck a vehicle of police in Obe district of Herat province with Herat city as its capital 640 km west of Kabul on Friday, police said.

"A number of local police personnel were on routine patrol in Obe district when a bomb planted by militants struck a van injuring three local police personnel including their commander Abdul Qadus at noon today," provincial police spokesman Abdul Rauf Ahmadi told Xinhua.(Afghanistan-Bomb-Injuries)

HERAT, Afghanistan -- A roadside bomb planted by militants struck an army vehicle in Shindand district of Herat province with Herat city as its capital, 640 km west of Kabul on Friday, wounding three personnel, an army official General Ziarat Shah Abid said.

"A mine planted by militants struck a vehicle of army personnel in Shindand district at around 01:00 p.m. local time today injuring three personnel," General Abid told Xinhua.(Afghanistan- Mine-Bomb) Endi
