Rivers is to coach his son in Clippers

Xinhua, January 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Austin Rivers was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday to play for his father Doc Rivers, which is the first father-son and coach-player situation in NBA history.

"I think a year ago I probably wouldn't," Doc Rivers talked about coaching his own son. "I think I would now for sure."

Austin Rivers was drafted 10th overall by New Orleans in 2012 after one season at Duke. In 165 games in three seasons with New Orleans, he averaged 6.9 points, 2.3 assists, 1.9 rebounds. Endi
