French stock market jumps 2.37 pct on strong economic data

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 strongly rebounded by 2.37 percent to close at 4,323.20 points on Thursday, up 99.96 points.

Germany's economic growth for 2014 reached 1.5 percent, the fastest since 2011.

At closing, among the 40 selected companies of the CAC 40, only Saint Gobain experienced a decrease of 0.48 percent.

Today's top three gainers were Valeo, up 4.58 percent, Essilor Intl., up 3.81 percent, and Capgemini, up 3.75 percent.

In previous trading day, the CAC 40 declined 1.56 percent to close at 4,223.24 points, down 67.04 points. Endit
