Indonesia to execute drug dealers

Indonesian Attorney General Mohammad Prasetyo said here Thursday that six drug dealers will be executed on Sunday.

"The execution would be conducted simultaneously on Jan. 18," as five of them are kept in Nusakambangan prison and the other one is in the Boyolali penitentiary, Central Java province.

The six include one Indonesian national and five foreigners, he said.

A total of 64 drug dealers have been listed for execution by Indonesia authorities in the country's war on drug abuses, said Prasetyo.

He said distribution and trade of illegal drugs in Indonesia is estimated to account 45 percent of the world's. Endi
