At least six people were killed and two others wounded when a U.S. drone launched missiles in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of South Waziristan Thursday night, local media reported.

Geo TV said the pilotless aircraft fired two missiles at a house believed to be a hideout of suspected militants in Ladha area of South Waziristan, a semi-autonomous tribal area along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Identities of the killed have not been determined yet.

The drone kept on hovering over the area after the attack.

This was the second strike by U.S. drones in the country's tribal on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, seven people were killed when a U.S. drone pounded a house in neighboring North Waziristan area. Endi
