World Bank expects growth up to 3 pct in 2015 for Albania

Xinhua, January 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Country Manager for World Bank in Albania, Tahseen Sayed, Wednesday said that positive benefits to Albania's economy are expected in 2015, according to Albanian Telegraphic Agency.

Sayed noted that "in recent months of 2014, economic growth was vibrant as a result of improved credit, payment of arrears by the government and increase in business confidence."

"We expect growth for Albania in 2015 to be around 3 percent, if the positive trends will continue and whether growth will be supported by large projects of foreign investment associated with Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) and investment in energy sector," said the representative of the World Bank.
