Eurozone industrial output up by 0.2 pct

Eurozone seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 0.2 percent in November 2014, the statistical office of the European Union(EU) Eurostat said on Wednesday.

The latest data showed industrial production also rose by 0.2 percent in the 28-nation EU.

The increase of industrial production in the eurozone is due to production of durable consumer goods rising by 1.9 percent, non-durable consumer goods by 0.5 percent and intermediate goods by 0.3 percent, while capital goods fell by 0.2 percent and energy by 0.9 percent.

The highest increases in industrial production around the EU were registered in Ireland at 4.6 percent, Hungary at 3.3 percent and Croatia at 2.7 percent. Endit
