Dollar trades in upper 117 yen range in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 117 yen range early Wednesday in Tokyo deals, little changed from its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 117.83-84 yen compared with 117.87-97 yen in New York and 118.24-25 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro fetched 1.1776-1777 dollars and 138.77-78 yen against 1.1766-1776 dollars and 138.83-93 yen in New York and 1.1850-1851 dollars and 140.12-16 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon. Endi
