Latvian annual inflation rate hits 0.6 pct in 2014

Latvia's annual inflation rate averaged at 0.6 percent in 2014, the national statistics office reported on Tuesday.

Compared with November, prices in December went down 1 percent for goods and rose 0.3 percent for services.

Lower prices of transport goods and services, clothing and footwear, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, as well as housing-related goods and services mainly contributed to the fall of Latvian consumer prices in December, the statistics office said. Endit
