New US ambassador pledges support for BiH over its EU, NATO path

Maureen Cormack, the new U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), on Tuesday arrived here after her predecessor left the Balkan country a year and a half ago. "I am very honored to be in Sarajevo finally. This is the moment which I have been waiting for so long," Cormack said after landing at the Airport in Sarajevo to a crowd of journalists waiting for her.

The new U.S. ambassador noted she had serious talks in Brussels on Jan. 12, both with representatives from the European Union and NATO, over providing support to BiH for its Euro-Atlantic future.

She promised to try to meet as many as possible ordinary people in BiH. Endit
