COLOMBO -- A key coalition partner of Sri Lanka's newly elected president has urged the country's graft watchdog to probe former president Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family members.
The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) party made the complaint to the Bribery and Corruption Commission demanding 11 individuals and an institution be investigated for mass scale corruption. (Sri Lanka-Former President-Probe)

NEW DELHI -- United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon Tuesday urged India to take the lead in reaching a global climate change pact in Paris later this year.
"I expect as one of the most critically important member state of the United Nations and as one of the fastest growing economy, India should be responsible to address climate change so that they will soon have universal and meaningful climate change agreement in Paris in December," Ban said during his tour in India. JAKARTA -- A senior official from the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) told Xinhua on Tuesday that the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) from the crashed AirAsia flight has been recovered.
BASARNAS operation director SB Supriyadi said it was retrieved from the wreckage of the crashed flight and would be flown to Jakarta later in the day. (Indonesia-Plane) Endi
