Singapore stocks close 0.19 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 6.45 points, or 0.19 percent, to close at 3,344.89.

A total of 1.10 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 906.1 million Singapore dollars (940 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 245 to 159, while 538 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 6.67 points, or 0.2 percent, to close at 3, 338.44 on Friday. Endi
