A gang that allegedly trafficked drugs from south China's Guangdong Province to Macao has been caught, said local police on Saturday.
Seven suspects were nabbed at about 1:50 a.m. Friday in a high-end residential community in Zhuhai.
Macao police caught 40 drug users and dealers and seized 645.77 grams of cocaine, 94.12 grams of ketamine, 65.48 grams of methamphetamine, 22.22 grams of marijuana and 18 "magu" pills, a stimulant composed of methamphetamine and caffeine.
According to Wang Yusheng, a police officer with the media office of the Zhuhai public security bureau, they were tipped off last November that a group of drug dealers frequently carried drugs from Zhuhai to Macao, selling them in places of entertainment.
Police from Zhuhai and Macao began to cooperate in information exchanges and fighting drug trafficking in 2004. Endi
