Singapore stocks close 0.2 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 6.67 points, or 0.2 percent, to close at 3,338.44.

A total of 1.34 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 25 billion Singapore dollars (940 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 199 to 193, while 550 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 46.75 points, or 1.42 percent, to close at 3,345.11 on Thursday. Endi
