Ghana unchanged on latest FIFA ranking

Ghana's position remained unchanged in the first edition of the FIFA world ranking in 2015 released on Thursday, a few days to the start of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Equatorial Guinea.

The Black Stars are still ranked 37th for the month of January and have accumulated 714 points.

They are still fifth on the continental table behind group opponents at the 2015 AFCON, Algeria, who are still the top side with Senegal in fourth place.

Tunisia is in second with Ivory Coast in third place.

World champions Germany are still in the lead ahead of Argentina and Colombia.

Ghana will be competing in Group C at the 2015 AFCON alongside Senegal, Algeria and South Africa.

The Black Stars will open its campaign against the Teranga Lions of Senegal on Jan 19 at the tournament which kicks off January 17 and ends February 8. Endite
