Saudi Arabia closes Guinea embassy for Ebola outbreak

Saudi Arabia said on Thursday it closed its embassy in Guinea due to the outbreak of Ebola, Saudi Press Agency reported.

According to the Saudi foreign ministry, Saudi embassy in Giunea was closed, and all employees were evacuated temporarily until the epidemic is contained.

Saudi Arabia last month donated 35 million U.S. dollars to help West Africa fight Ebola.

In September, Saudi Arabia stopped issuing work permit for workers from Ebola virus hit countries, including Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The country registered its first suspected Ebola case in August. A Saudi developed similar symptom after his return from a country hit by the disease.

However, blood test results turned negative. The patient later died of his serious health complications. Endit
