2014's most memorable images in China

An old man holds his wife, who died of a heart attack, on a street in Shenyang in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Dec. 17, 2014. The woman collapsed and died on her way to buy medicine at around 6 p.m. as the city's temperature dropped to negative 24 degrees Celsius. The man, surnamed He, kept holding his wife for two hours without moving in bitter cold after he arrived at around 7 p.m. The elderly couple, both 63, was waiting for their son to take them back to their hometown in Fushun, Liaoning Province. The photos have touched millions of people on the Internet just one month ahead of the Spring Festival, China's Lunar New Year and the most important traditional holiday. [Photo/Sina]
