The Wuchang Uprising breaks out on Oct. 10, 1911. The event served as the catalyst for the Xinhai Revolution, ending the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). In this photo is Hankou Railway Station, the station from where many Qing officials fled to the north together with their families. [File photo] |
