The YF-23 was a single-seat, twin-engine fighter aircraft designed for the U.S. Air Force. Two YF-23 prototypes were built, nicknamed 'Black Widow II' and 'Gray Ghost.' The fighter design lost its government contract to the F-22 Raptor in the 1980s and never entered mass production.
